Options Dialog Box

To open the dialog box, click Tools, Options or press Alt-F7.

General Options

DBEdit Dialog Boxes - Options

Interface language: Use this field to change the DBEdit interface language.
Default data language: Use this field to change the default language of the database data.
This feature requires configuring data translation in a database.
This workbook data language: Use this field to change the active workbook language of the database data.
Encrypt connection string passwords by default: Check this field to encrypt connection string passwords by default.
If you encrypt the passwords, only you can connect to a database using the saved passwords, and only on this machine and under your account login.
Encrypt connection string passwords in this workbook: Check this field to encrypt connection string passwords in this workbook only.

Connection timeout: Use this field to change the server connection timeout.
You can increase this timeout for busy servers and slow lines and decrease it to get connection errors faster.
Command timeout: Use this field to change the timeout of command execution.
You can increase this timeout if a large amount of database data is updated.

DBEdit Dialog Boxes - Appearance Options

Default font: Use these controls to choose the font family and size used by default.
Background highlight color: Use this field to choose a background highlight color for empty, NOT NULL cells.
ComboBox flat style: Check this field if you prefer the flat-style combobox controls.
Set Calibri: Use this button to set the Calibri font as the default font.
Use Defaults: Use this button to restore the system default font.
